Ubersuggest, created by SEO-guru Neil Patel, is the keyword research tool I recommend if you’re on a budget and want something that’s mostly as good as the big players like Ahrefs and Semrush. Why do I only say mostly as good? Because its crawler isn’t quite as active as Ahrefs, and so if you’re using it to find backlinks to competitor pages, for example, it’ll return fewer results. But it’s still very good. Actually, given the resources it takes to build a tool like this (I remember hearing Ahrefs costs several hundred thousand dollars a month to run), it’s pretty impressive that Ubersuggest exists at all, given it only costs in the region of $30 per month or so. Props to Neil Patel for putting it together. If you’re new to SEO, I definitely recommend starting with Ubersuggest. Then if you really advance and want more of a big-boy tool, maybe you can try Ahrefs at $97 per month.
