Strategy Summary

The summary information appears after you recalculate indicator criteria.  Several changes can be made and evaluated in a few seconds.  The trading period is shown under the title.  The increase or decrease in Return on Capital Utilized and Capital Utilization between successive indicator changes is displayed to indicate if your change is in the right direction or if you should adjust in the other direction.  In this example, the Return on Capital Utilized increased by 3.6 percent while the Capital Utilization increased by 0.4 percent.

Total of capital gains and losses in the trading period The trading period from the first purchase to the last sale Total commission and slippage during the trading period Capital gain minus commission and slippage Sum of increases in the balance after a sale Sum of decreases in the balance after a sale Total Return on capital utilized Percentage of the trading period that the capital is invested in the stock Trades where the balance increased Trades where the balance decreased Trades caused by stop orders Total purchase and sale transactions Market Reflex - This panel shows a financial summary of the backtesting results.

The Capital Utilization is the percentage of the trading period that the stock is held.  The Return on Capital Utilized reflects the return for the duration of the trading period.
